Scrap Aluminium Buyers
We buy all types of aluminium — sheet, extrusions, cast, window frames, cans, wheels, and more.
About Scrap Aluminium
Aluminium is the most common non-ferrous metal by volume that we handle. From window fitters bringing frames to builders with roofing sheet, to mechanics with cast engine components — we see it all. We grade correctly between clean sheet, cast, extrusions, and cans so you always get what your material is worth.
Grades We Accept
Clean flat sheet, no paint, no fixings.
Window frames, door frames, curtain walling.
Engine blocks, gearboxes, alloy wheels, castings.
Drinks cans — must be clean and dry.
Assorted ali — some contamination.
Overhead line, ali cable.

Why Aluminium Recycling Makes Commercial Sense
Aluminium is one of the most recycled materials on earth — and for good reason.
Recycling aluminium uses around 95% less energy than smelting new aluminium from bauxite ore. That's not a rounding error — it's one of the biggest efficiency differentials in all of materials science. This is why the scrap price for aluminium has remained relatively strong despite it being the most abundant metal in the earth's crust: the economic value of recycled aluminium is real and sustained by energy economics, not just commodity speculation.
For the construction sector, this matters. A building refurbishment generating several tonnes of aluminium curtain walling, window frames, and cladding is generating material that goes back into the supply chain efficiently. It doesn't disappear into landfill. Responsible disposal of aluminium is genuinely environmentally sound, not just a regulatory checkbox.
For the motor trade, sump guards, gearbox casings, cylinder heads, alloy wheels, and engine blocks are all aluminium castings. We buy all of it. Cast aluminium grades lower than clean sheet, but there's still good value in a trailer load of engine components from a breaker's yard.
Aluminium From Construction and Demolition — What to Separate
Most aluminium from building sites can be separated into two grades with a few minutes of sorting.
Clean extrusions and sheet: Window frames, curtain walling, door frames, fascia and soffit sections, structural aluminium profiles. Remove the glass (which we can't take) and any significant steel inserts or fixings. What's left is clean aluminium extrusion — our best-paying aluminium grade. Most aluminium window frames have very little contamination once the glass is out.
Cast aluminium: Engine blocks, gearbox casings, sump guards, alloy wheels, garden furniture frames, ladders, and anything that was cast in a mould rather than extruded or rolled. This grades lower than extrusion because it's a different alloy family with different remelting characteristics.
Ali cans: Drinks cans, clean and dry, buy by the bag or bin. Lower per-tonne price because of the volume-to-weight ratio, but we take them. If you're running a recycling operation or commercial kitchen, it adds up over a month.
Mixing cast and extrusion together in a single load means we'll grade the whole lot as mixed aluminium at a blended rate. Keeping them separate — even into two piles in the back of the van — gets you the right price for each.
